The first thing I wanted to do was get some pictures of the kids before
everyone was tired from swimming all day and being in the sun.
So we got everyone ready and left to go take some pictures.
I wanted to find a nice place to take some pictures, but
we couldn't find a place, so we went to the high school.
I knew I was going to have a hard time taking pictures of
them when the first one looked like this....
They didn't want to take pictures.
We took some under a tree and all I kept hearing
was the grass was damp and poking them.
I moved them to the steps and get faces like this.
(I didn't really like the steps because of the green doors and signs behind them)
I get three of them to kind of smile and still have one with her tongue out.
I do love this one. Ally kissed Aubrey all on her own.
(Still don't like the green pole and doors)
Then Ally gave Aubrey a hug a little to hard.
This was nicer!
Again Ally wasn't cooperating.
Finally she smiles and the other three
are looking at her like she's crazy!
I finally gave up and said I would have
to live with one of the pictures I took.
When we got back to my mom's I tried one more time ...
I think this is it!
Around 9:00 pm it was finally dark. Ashley and Bryce
went with my sister Heather to her friends house to
set off fireworks, it's legal in
Las Vegas. Guy
bought some for us to do with Ally and Aubrey.
We gave them some sparklers.
They liked them but were scaring me.
I was afraid they were going to burn themselves.
They kept getting to close to their clothes.
Then we went into the front yard to watch Guy
set off some other ones in the street. I don't get
any pictures because Aubrey didn't like them and
wouldn't let me put her down. She had her face in
my shoulder and a death grip on my shirt.
After that we sat on the back porch and watched
everyone
else's fireworks in the sky.
We had a nice 4
th in Vegas.
